Rash decisions

I am a spur-of-the moment decision maker.  When I see/have a good idea...something that at the time of the decision-making seems to be a totally awesome thing...I usually just dive in and do it.

That being said, my parents have sort of guilted me into changing my trip plans for January.  Instead of flying over on the 15th and spending some time in Spain, they've agreed to compensate..details to come ;)

I'll just have to wait for some delicious jamón serrano. sigh.

But it works out really, because missing the first 2 weeks of classes was making me uneasy in a pretty big way (one of my classes is only 6 weeks, oh no!).  However changing the flight was also unsettling...never ever ever ever buy fixed-rate tickets or whatever ..nothing fixed, people!! it cost ah..about US$300 to change it.  If they'd had to upgrade me it would have been an even bigger price increase.   i know.

But this is ok, I was really kinda bummed to have to do a trade-off on time spent in Amsterdam to go to Spain again (lol #firstworldproblems whaaaat)...because there is SO MUCH to see in Amsterdam!  So no super extravagant travel this time :) At least there are still a few days where there will be time to explore the city - and a friend from this last summer will also be there around the same time!

it may have been cheaper in the long run to just buy the fucking plane ticket to spain from amsterdam...may have? it would have. anyways, it was worth it if it brings peace of mind to my poor parents who have a child that can't stay still...and me for my semester's studies...

So, the rest of Europe can wait for warmer days :)

Now all i can think of is Amsterdam..what to do, where to stay..i can barely stay on the topic of finishing the paper - which has to be done since it is due tomorrow; i have 5 pages without the bibliography, and the two combined should not exceed 4! oops!

ciao ciao!
