This weekend I went back to visit my friends who live in Navarra (the next region over), and we mostly took it easy.












They did, however, take the time to show me a monastery
that is in another small town, and a castle.

(To the picture above we were carefully positioned under that bush in the shade that you see. i had cleverly worn high heel boots that day to make rock climbing as interesting as possible)

after climbing several of its towers we decided it was time for lunch, and that was that. Most of the evening was spent talking either in their house or sitting on their back patio, enjoying the sun and warm weather. He also took me over to his brother´s vegetable garden (he has one too, in his back yard) and the chickens and roosters that inhabit part of the lot, and we gathered some eggs to make omelettes (aka tortillas, here in españa).

p.s. Navarra has delicious wine. there is also a wine from the region called Rioja. If you are ever in a liquor store wanting very savory (red) wine, get either a Navarra or a Rioja (Rioja crianza is the best).
